Isham becomes second Waubonsee player to earn NJCAA weekly honor
The National Junior College Athletic Associations (NJCAA) has named Waubonsee Community College's Jordan Isham as the Division III Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 15-21 (Week 13). The award is the first such honor for Isham, and the second this season for the Chiefs after Gavin Lovesky was named player of the week for Week 8.
Isham, a sophomore from Sandwich, struck out 11 batters in tossing a two-hit shutout against Olive-Harvey College. The righthander issued just one walk and faced four more than the minimun number of batters in the 6-0 win.
On the season, the two-way player is 2-4 with a 5.18 ERA and 41 K's in helping Waubonsee Community College to a record of 21-18.
