Milwaukee's Javier picks up 2019 NJCAA DIII Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award®

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Milwaukee Area Technical College's Bryan Javier as the top fielding shortstop in the nation by selecting him as the 2019 NJCAA DIII Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award® winner for his position. He is the only Region IV player to receive the honor in 2019. 

The sophomore finished the year with a .963 fielding percentage and helped turn 16 double plays, while committing just nine errors. A native of the Dominican Republic and a product of Racine Horlick High School (WI), Javier also batted .379 with 47 hits, 24 runs scored, 15 RBI, and just six strikeouts.

A second team all-region selection, Javier as also named to the all-conference team in the North Central Community College Conference and plans to continue his collegiate career at NAIA Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL.
