DuPage's McGill named Offensive POY, leads 12 Chaps on NJCAA All-American Team

Charlotte, NC - College of DuPage (IL) running back Jaden McGill has been named the 2023 NJCAA Division III Football Offensive Player of the Year!

McGill was named a Second-Team All-America selection in 2022 and followed it up with another impressive season in 2023. The sophomore ran the ball 132 times on the season and tallied 687 yards and a nation-leading 12 touchdowns. The lead back also caught 14 passes for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The sophomore also excelled as a kick returner, finishing the season with 484 return yards, including 98 yards in the national championship game. He also led the nation in kickoff return yardage with 484, while averaging 30.3 per game.

After leading the Chaps to their second consecutive national championship, McGill put together a terrific performance on the biggest stage. In the national championship, the sophomore crossed into the endzone three times for the chaps. McGill also earned 54 yards on 15 carries. After a terrific performance, they were named the 2023 NJCAA Division III Football Championship Most Valuable Player.

McGill was named to the 2023 NJCAA Division III Football First-Team All-America team earlier this week.

The National Junior College Athletic Assocation (NJCAA) released the 2024 NJCAA Division III Football All-American Teams and the College of DuPage was represented by nine recipients. That list includes nine first team honorees and three second team selections after the Chaparrals claimed their third consecutive NJCAA Division III National Championship to complete an undefeated season.
