Triton grabs top seed, South Suburban sixth for NJCAA DII Championships

The Triton College men's basketball team has been awarded the top overall seed ahead of the 2018 NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championships, while South Suburban College has earned the sixth seed. 

The Trojans, who have never won a national title and finished runner-up in 2016, are 9-8 all-time in the tournament. They enter with a 29-4 record and a #3 ranking in the last NJCAA DIII Poll. Triton College opens play with a First Round game on Tuesday, March 20 against #16 Ulster County Community College (NY/18-9) at 1:00 p.m.

South Suburban College, who has also never won a national title, is 24-11 all-time in the tournament. The Bulldogs boast a 28-5 mark on the season and a #7 ranking entering their First Round matchup with #11 Delta College (MI/21-6) on Wednesday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m.

All games will be played at the Mary Miller Center in Danville, Illinois.
