Joliet's Taylor earns NJCAA DIII Player of the Week honors

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has selected Joliet Junior College's Adam Taylor as the Division III Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 16-January 5 (Week 7). The award is the first such honor for Taylor, and the first this season for the Wolves.

Taylor, a 6'4" freshman guard averaged 22.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as Joliet Junior College went 3-1 during the timespan. After opening with a 22-point effort against Lake Michigan College on December 18, Taylor capped the three-week stretch with a career performance in a win at Wilbur Wright College that propelled the Wolves to 2-0 in North Central Community College Conference play. The Mokena, Illinois, native went 10 for 17 from the floor and converted 7 of 11 there pointers, while also adding seven free throws, en route to a career-high 34 points. Taylor also reeled in a career-best 17 rebounds.

For the season, Taylor is averaging 16.7 points and 7.1 rebounds for the 9-10 Wolves.
