Rock Valley completes simultaneous 3-peats with men's, women's NJCAA Bowling Championships

LANSING, MICH. - In an extremely impressive feat, the Rock Valley College men's and women's bowling team each completed a run to a national championship three-peat at the NJCAA Men's & Women's Bowling Championships on February 29-March 2. The Golden Eagles claimed their fourth crown overall on the men's side, racking up 13,025 points to best Iowa Western Community College by 456 points. The RVC women bested Hawkeye Community College by 308 points after finishing with 12,233. Freshman Madison Davenport was named the All Event Champion and Most Valuable Bowler for the women after posting a 2,313 total pinfall and a 192.8 average, and was joined on the NJCAA All-American team by teammates Hailee Kerr and Kyley Olson, as well as Madi Lave of JJC. For the men, second year bowler Tyler Keller won the All Event Champion and was named Most Valuable Bowler with a pinfall of 2,426 and an average of 202.2. Joining Keller on the NJCAA All-Amerian list were teammates Connor Mooney and Samuel Moran.

According to the RVC Athletics website, both Golden Eagles teams will compete at the USBC Sectionals in Addison, Illinois, for a chance to move on to the Intercollegiate Team Championship at Kingpin Lanes in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 17-20.
