Triton's Szaflarski is top vote-getter of DIII All-Region Team
For the second year in a row, the top vote-getter on the Region IV Division III Men's Soccer All-Region Team is a representative of Triton College after freshman Michael Szaflarski claimed the honor in 2018. The Trojans earned five all-region honors to lead all team, followed by four each for Elgin Community College and Madison College. Szaflarski, a midfielder, scored eight goals and collected three assists, and was joined by Madison College's Dejesus Herrera and Elgin Community College's Aldo Lazaro on the list of NJCAA All-American nominees. Harper College won the Region IV Tournament, thus awarding freshman Matthew Austin the Region IV Tournament MVP and first year coach Andre Watson the Region IV Coach of the Year.
