The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Triton College's Piotr Pyz as the Division III Men's Soccer Goalie of the Week for September 23-29 (Week 5). The award is the first such honor for Pyz, and the first this season for the Trojans.

Pyz, a 6'0" freshman, increased his scoreless minutes streak to 684 minutes and helped Triton College to a pair of key wins in Region IV play. The Elk Grove Village, Illinois, native made seven saves and blanked then #5-ranked Harper College on the road to avenge the Trojans only loss of the season. He followed it up with a four-save, two-goals-allowed effort in a win another road test at Madison College.

On the season, Pyz has allowed just six goals and made 53 saves, ranking him seventh in the nation with a .898 save percentage and eight with a 0.51 goals against average. Triton College jumped from #9 to #7 in the NJCAA Division III Poll.
