Illinois Valley defeats Elgin for Region IV DIII title

The Illinois Valley Community College men's tennis team defeated Elgin Community College, 6-3, to claim the 2017 NJCAA Region IV Division III Men's Tennis Championship. By winning the team title, Illinois Valley's Julie Milota was named Region IV Coach of the Year. Spartans freshman Justin Howes won the singles title of Eagles sophomore Joey Meyer and was named the Region IV Most Valuable Player. Howes joined sophomore teammate Jack Brown to win the doubles crown over Meyer and freshman Aaron Pellican.

The 2017 NJCAA Division III Men's Tennis National Championships are May 15-19, 2017, at the Collin County Tennis Facilities in Plano, Texas.
