Harper's Melgosa earns NJCAA Runner of the Week

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Harper College's Jacob Melgosa as the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for September 23-29 (Week 5). The award is the first such honor for Melgosa, and the first this season for the Hawks.

Melgosa placed 25th our of 274 runners from numerous collegiate levels at the Loyola Invite in Chicago, Illinois, with a time of 26:50 on the 8k course. He finished with the top time for the Hawks, who are currently ranked #2 in the NJCAA Division III Poll.
