Impressive triple-double yields NJCAA Player of the Week honor for Lake County's Raupach
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named the College of Lake County's Hannah Raupach the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for November 12-18 (Week 3). The award is the first of its kind for Raupach, as well as for the Lancers program this season.
Raupach, a sophomore forward, led the Lancers to three victories during the week and averaged 18.0 points and 21.0 rebounds. The week opened with a lopsided win over Richard J. Daley College that featured 15 points, 19 rebounds, and seven assists. That was followed by another one-sided affair against UW-Waukesha that saw Raupach score a season-high 21 points, grab 21 rebounds, and dish out four assists. Capping the week was Raupach's best individual performance with a triple-double of 18 points, 23 rebounds, and 17 blocks, as well as seven assists, in a 56-51 victory at Kishwaukee College.
For the season, Raupach is averaging 15.1 points, 15.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.7 blocks, and 2.9 assists for the undefeated Lancers (6-0). She currently ranks third in the nation in rebounds per game and second in total blocks with 26.
