Moraine Valley, South Suburban seeded in top half of NJCAA DII National Tournament

When the 2019 NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball National Championships open on Tuesday, March 19 in Harrison, Arkansas, Region IV will boast two teams with legitimate title chances. Moraine Valley Community College will begin play as the #4 seed, while South Suburban College was awarded the #8 seed in the 16-team field.

Moraine Valley Community College opens first round play against #13 Lackawanna Community College (PA) on Wednesday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. They Cyclones own a 32-1 record with a 31-game win streak that makes them one of the hottest teams in the field. The Falcons arrive with a record of 25-7. The winner advances to Thursday's quarterfinal at 8:00 p.m. 

South Suburban College takes the floor for the first time on Tuesday, March 19 at 8:00 p.m. against #9 Union County College (NJ). The Bulldogs are 28-5 on the year, while the Owls bring a 27-4 mark. The winner advances to the quarterfinals and will play Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
