Moraine Valley's Knezz tabbed NJCAA DII Offensive Player of the Week
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named Moraine Valley Community College's Noelle Knezz as the Division II Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for September 9-15 (Week 3). The award is the first such honor for Knezz, and the first this year for the Cyclones.
Knezz, a 6'1" setter/opposite, demonstrated her versatility in helping the Cyclones to a seven-win week as they kept the perfect start to the 2019 season intact. The sophomore from New Lenox, Illinois, posted 2.96 kills per set with a .395 attack percentage for the week, while also registering 4.28 assists per set. Over the seven matches, she amassed 87 kills and had four matches with double-digit kill totals, including a season-high 18 kills against Sauk Valley Community College. As a setter, Knezz racked up 119 assists, reaching ten or more in all but one match. In addition, she finished the week with 12 blocks, 24 aces, and 51 digs.
Knezz and the Cyclones are currently ranked #16 in the NJCAA Division II Poll.
