CHAUTAUQUA, NY & JOPLIN, MISSO. - Region 4 was very well represented at the recent 2024 NJCAA Division II & III Men's Championships. For the third straight year, the College of DuPage placed third at Chautauqua Golf Course for the Division III tournament, while Black Hawk College led a trio of region squads with a 17th place finish at the Division II event.

The Chaparrals opened this year's championship tournament with a 300 team score and were tied for second after the first 18 holes. Scores of 304, 310, and 311 over the next three days prevented COD from staying with eventual national champion Sandhills Community College (1,140/-12) and runner-up Geogia Military College (1,188/+36); however, the Chaps final tally of 1,225 (+73) created a clear separation from fourth place SUNY Niagara (1,268/+116). Anthony Regimand, who carded a tournament- and career-best four-under-par 68 in Round 2, led DuPage with a tie for ninth at 299 (+11). He finished the week with scores of 76-68-76-79. Teammates Emilio Bedon and Hagan Rank joined Regimand on the All-American list with a 13th and tie for 15th place, respectively. Bedon went 76-77-79-74 for a 306 (+18), while Rank shot 308 (+20) after turning in rounds of 73-81-79-75. The Chaps also included a tie for 25th from Jakob Schmidt at 320 (+32) and a tie for 28th by Sam Sager with a 321 (+33). Rock Valley College's Griffin Smith shot 319 (+31) to tie for 23rd overall after claiming Region 4 medalist honors, with teammate Axel Lovgren placing 49th with a 338 (+50). (Recaps: NJCAA | DuPage)
