PK's return Triton to top of mountain with Region IV championship
RIVER GROVE, ILL. - In dramatic fashion the Triton College men's soccer team nearly lost and eventually won the 2017 NJCAA Region IV Division III Championship, doing so in penalty over Madison College. Despite a 3-0 lead early in the second half, the top-seeded Trojans allowed the second-seeded WolfPack to rally and force overtime. Triton's Kevin Flores scored the game-winning goal, while goalkeeper Jonathan Castro recorded the final championship winning save.
Triton College last won the Region IV tournament in 2013 and is now 16-0-1 on the year. Ranked #5 in the latest NJCAA Division III Poll, the Trojans play Anoka-Ramsey Community College on Wednesday, October 25 in a NJCAA District C Tournament Semifinal.
