Illinois Valley places 4th, DuPage 7th at NJCAA DIII Tournament

PEACHTREE CITY, GEORGIA - The two representatives of Region IV at the 2019 NJCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships from November 1-3 fared well among the nation's elite. Illinois Valley Community College finished fourth overall with 14 points, while the College of DuPage placed seventh with 6.5 points. Oxford College of Emory University won the team title with 36 points for their fifth consecutive national championship.

The Eagles' Tyler Kroll was the only singles player to reach the finals, doing so in the Flight #5 bracket to finish runner-up. Illinois Valley's Michelle Windy (Flight #1), Nena Perry (Flight #3), Isabel Lueck (Flight #4), and Jennifer Romero (Flight #6), along with Alison McKenney of the Chaparrals in Flight #2, all qualified for the semifinals in their respective brackets. In doubles play, the tandem of Rachel Hofstetter and McKenney played their way into the Flight #1 semifinals, while all other teams from the two programs bowed out in the quarterfinals.
