2020 Region 4 Division II Men's Soccer Tournament

UPDATE: Morton College used a pair of upsets win to claim its fourth Region 4 Division II Men's Soccer Tournament Championship in the last seven years, closing it out with a 3-1 decision over top-seeded Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois. The Panthers opened postseason play with a 2-0 shutout of South Suburban College, and got by Carl Sandburg College 1-0 to reach the title match. Goalkeeper Pablo Rueda allowed just one goal over 270 minutes and was named the Region 4 Tournament Most Valuable Player, while Juan Franco earned Region 4 Coach of the Year.

Morton College advanced to the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships in Wichita, Kansas, and were awarded the #10 seed and a spot in Pool C. The Panthers lost 1-0 to Heartland Community College and defeated Phoenix College 1-0, however, it was not enough to advance out of pool play. Morton College finished with a 10-3 record.

Triton College freshman midfielder Marcin Kieta was named the Region 4 Division II Player of the Year after posting 11 assists during the season.

2020 Region 4 Men's Soccer All-Region Teams


The 2020 NJCAA Region 4 Division II Men's Soccer Tournament (Played in Spring 2021) begins with quarterfinal matches on May 15, moves on to semifinal matches on May 18, and concludes with a championship match on May 22, with the higher seed hosting each match. The winner advances as the NJCAA Midwest District representative to the NJCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships in Wichita, Kansas, from June 5-10.
