2021 Region 4 Division II Softball Tournaments
UPDATE: Triton College and Madison College secured Region 4 Division II championships with wins in Freeport, Illinois, which also sends both to the national tournament. The Trojans worked their way through the loser's bracket to reach the championship game, where they dominated Bryant & Stratton College with wins of 14-5 and 18-3 to claim the Midwest District A crown for the first time in program history. The WolfPack extended their recent streak of dominance by ending another one, using a 5-4 championship game win over Kankakee Community College to clinch the Midwest District B title. Madison College has won three consecutive region championships, while the Cavaliers saw their streak of 24 consecutive titles come to an end. Christina Christopher of Triton College and Leo Kalinowski of Madison College were awarded the Region 4 Coach of the Year honors.
At the NJCAA Division II Softball Championships in Oxford, Alabama, both Triton College and Madison College were eliminated after two games in the double-elimination tournament. The tenth-seeded Trojans began with an 11-2 loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast, and then saw their 53-10 season end with a 5-4 setback against Delaware Tech. The 11th-seeded WolfPack fell 5-0 to Kirkwood Community College in their opening game, and followed with a 4-3 loss against Oakland Community College to cap off a 39-9 season.

The 2021 NJCAA Region 4 Division II Midwest District A Softball Tournament will begin Tuesday, May 11 with best-of-three quarterfinal series held at the sites of the higher seed. The winners advance to the double-elimination tournament in Freeport, IL, from May 15-16. The Region 4 champion will qualify for the 2021 NJCAA Division II Softball Championship in Oxford, Alabama, from May 25-29.
