TITLE DEFENDED: Harper repeats with 2024 NJCAA Division III Track & Field title

UTICA, NY - Defending champions Harper College led a strong contingent of Region 4 teams and student-athletes, and came away with a repeat championship at the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 9-11. The Hawks racked up 194.0 total points to finish ahead of national runner-up College of DuPage with 123.0 points. Joliet Junior College placed sixth with 48.5 points, while Triton College was tied for 17th with 8.0 points. The championship is the third for Harper College, who also won in 2011 and 2023.
86 Region 4 Spring Student-Athletes earn NJCAA All-American honors

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has released its list of All-Americans for the 2023-24 spring sports season, and 86 student-athletes representing Region 4 were recognized. The group includes 66 from men's and women's track & field, eight from baseball, six in women's golf, and three each from men's golf and softball. There are 30 first team recipients, 29 second team honorees, six third team selections, and 21 honorable mention distinctions. The student-athletes represent eight Region 4 institutions.

Harper runs to second NJCAA national championship as Region 4 dominates the field

UTICA, NEW YORK - Every where you looked during the 2023 NJCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 11-13, athletes from Region 4 programs were dominating the competition. The end result: a second national championship for Harper College and top three finishes for the College of DuPage and Joliet Junior College, as well as numerous individual awards. The Hawks claimed first title since 2011 with 138.5 points, with the two-time defending champion Chaparrals in second at 96.0 points and the Wolves in third with 77.0 points.

The group includes four student-athletes, two coaches, one student-athlete & coach, one administrator, one administrator & coach, two lifetime achievement honorees, and one national championship team that excelled during their time competing in Region 4.

SWEET SPRING: DuPage wins men's, women's national T&F championships, places top four in men's golf & tennis

It was an unbelievable spring to be wearing Forest Green around Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The College of DuPage, which already claimed a football national championship back in the fall, capped the 2021-22 athletic calendar with a quartet of national tournament qualifiers and two more championship banners. The men's and women's track programs both successfully defended their 2021 national titles with first place finishes at the NJCAA Division III Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Troy, New York, from May 12-14, marking the third time in school history they have won championships in the same year. In addition, the Chaparrals' men's golf team finished third at the NJCAA Division III Golf Championships in Chautauqua, New York, from June 7-10, and the COD men's tennis squad generated a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships in Oxford, Georgia, from May 13-15.

NJCAA cancels 2020 spring seasons, winter championships
